Here are some major changes for you guys! Metal on WPHS will no longer be aired on Wednesdays and no longer will be hosted alone. We now have a co-host, Andrea and will be airing Mondays, 5-7. The show is probably going to have a new name and a new website, so stayed tuned in for information on that!
Update for January 9th, 2008 (Revised)
Next week's show is not going to feature a guest playlist because of issues at the station. It will be next week so send in your playlists to be played over air!
Update for January 9th, 2008
The countdown was awesome! Here's the top 3:
3 Devildrive w/ The Last Kind Words
2 Nile w/ Ithphallic
1 Machine Head w/ Blackening
You can check out the rest at the playlist page.
ALSO! Next week will be guest playlist week! If you wanna hear some metal, submit your playlist to the website and one of the playlists will be chosen and played on air next week. There are some drawback though; the playlist can not be longer than 1 hour and it has to be entirely clean! To submit your playlist see the form at the bottom of the page. Be sure to include your name, location and each song accompanied by the artist and the album. Peace!
The Metal Revolution is back!
After a two week holiday, the show will be back and as brutal as ever. I hope that everybody had an awesome (and safe) holiday and hope that everything stayed metal throughout. Mine sure as hell did because I got myself the Metalocalypse DVD for Christmas and it is amazing. Anyways...
Our first show of the new year will covering all the best and the worst of 2007 in the world of metal. We'll be touching on tours, metal headlines and our very own top 10 metal album countdown. Make sure you tune in!
The Metal Revolution's Headline of the Week (December 19th,2007)
The Metal Revolution (and all of WPHS for that matter) is going to be off air for the holidays. The show will not be back until January 9th. I hope everyone has a metal holiday and make sure you keep your calender marked for the next show!
The Metal Revolution's Headline of the Week (December 12th, 2007)
Alright! First off, if you haven't heard already this week is WPHS' "Warm & Fuzzy Week". What that means is that the radio show hosts are invited to bring their family to their show as to bring the holiday spirit and family togetherness to the station.
Well, if you haven't guessed it already, I'm going to bring in the metalhead that started it all (for me at least), my dad. He'll be joining me on air and with the playlist. My mom will also be joining us, because without a doubt, she is also at fault for my musical passion. So make sure you tune in for the Metal Revolution's "Warm & Fuzzy Week"!
The Metal Revolution's Headline of the Week (December 5th, 2007)
If you haven't heard already, the December 12th show is going to be pretty damn big. The show is going to feature interviews with Dez, vocals of Devildriver, and Joel, lead guitar of Killswitch Engage.
Meeting these guys was absolutly amazing and I loved getting to sit down to chat with them. I got some pretty awesome things out of both of them including Dez's opinions on Coal Chamber (Dez's former band) and stories about Joel's personal life.
It's going to pretty a tight show so make sure you tune your radios in to 89.1FM on December 12th so you don't miss it!
